چکیده
Abstract Background Blood glucose variability is associated with poor prognosis after cardiac surgery, but the relationship between and postoperative delirium in patients acute aortic dissection unclear. The study aims to investigate association of blood patients. Methods We prospectively analyzed 257 including 103 delirium. were divided into two groups according whether was present. outcome measures delirium, length Intensive Care Unit stay, duration hospital stay. Multivariable Cox competing risk survival models used assess. Results A total subjects enrolled, There statistically significant differences body mass index, history first admission glucose, white cell counts, Acute Physiology Chronic Health Evaluation II score, hypoxemia, mechanical ventilation duration, stay( P < 0.05). group exhibited significantly higher values mean (MBG) standard deviation (SDBG) than non-delirium group( In model 1, adjusted hazard ratio (AHR) 1.436( Model 2, (AHR = 1.418, 95%CI 1.195–1.681, 0.05) remained adjusting for confounders. area under curve SDBG 0.763(95%CI 0.704–0.821, 0.01). sensitivity 81.6%, specificity 57.8%. Conclusions Glucose high glycemic increases

Temperature Variability during Delirium in ICU Patients: An Observational Study
INTRODUCTION Delirium is an acute disturbance of consciousness and cognition. It is a common disorder in the intensive care unit (ICU) and associated with impaired long-term outcome. Despite its frequency and impact, delirium is poorly recognized by ICU-physicians and -nurses using delirium screening tools. A completely new approach to detect delirium is to use monitoring of physiological alter...

BACKGROUND Blood glucose variability is receiving considerable attention as a new risk factor for coronary artery disease. This study aimed to investigate the association between blood glucose variability and coronary plaque tissue characteristics. METHODS In 57 patients with acute coronary syndrome, integrated backscatter intravascular ultrasound (IB-IVUS) and gray-scale IVUS were performed ...

We designed a retrospective cohort study to assess sex-related differences in clinical manifestations, incidence, and outcomes of patients with symptomatic acute aortic dissection (AAD). We collected clinical data from 2010 to 2015 of 400 patients with AAD. Patients' clinical characteristics, treatment, and outcomes were analyzed as a function of sex. Among 400 patients with AAD, the ratio of m...
